Mostly popular with food of South East Asia like Thai, Malay, Indonesia but also some part of India. Here, it can be eat raw, but usually cook together with chilly, sometimes with dried fish and also in some vegetables.

Lots of people like it, even it has a strong smell. The smell of it in our breath can be easily dismiss by eat some rice (not cooked). But the effect of eating petai will still smell in "our toilet" lol.

You all must know that Petai (In Latin name its called Parkia speciosa) as the fruit that makes bad breath. But perhaps many of you do not know that petai contain three natural sugars sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber.
